We’ll begin our tour at Monumento a la Patria at 6 o’clock, which is located on Paseo de Montejo Avenue. Throughout the tour on foot we are having a special storytelling about the construction of this main and important avenue, one of the most important highlights, and local symbol from Merida. Also, without missing the reference to the henequen, a key element for the creation of this famous avenue.
While we head to “El Remate de Montejo” (a lightful market starting at the evening), Alongside the walking from the Remate de Montejo, you will try different sweet appetizers, such as the well-known marquesitas! An ice-cream or a delicious champola at Sorbetería Colón, an iconic ice-cream store. Their ice-creams are water-based; coconut, mamey (mammee), soursop and mango are the favorite flavors from our visitors.
Nonetheless… you’ve got to make some room for the main course. Enjoy the handcrafted beer experience with a five-course pairing dinner whilst you look at the amazing view of the Cathedral from the restaurant’s terrace.
