Probaditas Yucatecas is an experience designed initially for the business market and for all those people looking forward to getting to know Yucatan “a probaditas” (by little bites).
Thanks to the acceptance and delightfulness spread from our clients, this wonderful experience has been started to be offered to the pleasure segment. Nowadays, this is one the most iconic products at MMIncentives.
We begin this journey on Paseo de Montejo Avenue, our meeting point is at Monumento a la Patria at 6 o’clock.
First in the walkthrough: we’re going to have a guided visit on Paseo de Montejo, an emblematic landmark and avenue, a proud symbol of Merida. We cannot talk about Paseo de Montejo without mentioning the cornerstone and the foundation of this famous avenue: the henequen (also known in ancient times as “the green Yucatecan gold”).
During the tour, on your way towards El Remate(a market stall) de Montejo, you’ll taste different sweet appetizers, such as the world-famous marquesitas, and why not? followed by a delicious ice-cream or champola at “Sorbetería Colón”, the most iconic and well-known ice-cream store in Merida. Their ice-creams are water-based; coconut, mamey (mammee), soursop and mango are our visitors’ favorite flavors.
If you are not full after eating these, get prepared for trying something else! Because there is still one gastronomical journey throughout the traditional and contemporary Yucatecan dishes at any market, lonchería (a typical place in which you can find the traditional Mexican sandwiches) or almost at any restaurant from Merida. You’ll witness the traditional panucho or the salbut de relleno negro (stuffed with turkey); the unique lime soup, or perhaps you’ll choose tacos de lechón (baked piggled) and the world-famous: cochinita pibil.
